Mrs. Hoop (and Mr. Tink)

I know you all have been patiently waiting for updates and pictures...

...but you're going to have to wait just a little bit longer.

Please, lower the pitchforks.

The wedding was wonderful. Other than a stubborn breeze keeping us from lighting our unity candle, the ceremony and reception went off without a hitch. My only disappointment was that no one saved me any cake. I think someone *cough*Hoop*cough* should buy me another to compensate. The honeymoon was amazing, full of beautiful sights and adventures (and just a couple of misadventures). Details and pictures to come. Work has me buried, and since I'm currently the sole breadwinner of this little family, I'm inclined to not lose my job. I know, life isn't fair.

I was reminded of that when we got home from the boat and I realized I was going to have to cook again. Then this morning, I dropped a towel on the floor and remembered that no one would be by later to pick it up and replace it with a fresh one. Bummer. Hoop thinks the solution to cruise withdrawal is to go on another, like, immediately. His idea is that we should sell everything and live in our car. Then we can stash all the money we make from our jobs to afford going on a cruise once a month. When I asked him what we would do in our car for entertainment (not to mention eating, washing, or going to the bathroom) he said, "stare at each other".

Oof. Here I go again, making a quick update into a rambling post. So, what did I miss in your world? I missed you guys! I see the beer is still here... Well, at least the cans are. Thanks again to the wonderful and amazing Jay for hosting the WWC. Come back here tomorrow for the newest edition. Later this week, I'll update you on the wedding and honeymoon. I'll probably stretch it out for a few posts. Believe me, you want this in doses. As a bonus, I might tell you about my kick ass bachelorette party (pending the girlfriends/bloggers who threw it for me don't mind).

P.S. For those who, like my coworkers, are inclined to ask if I feel different... I got married; I didn't get a face lift. Although I have to admit, Mrs. Hoop is going to take a bit of getting used to.

Just bought a fruit salad for breakfast and it came with a spork... so I had to check in ;-)

Congrats! You sound very happy, and I can't wait to hear the details.

Well, you could just park the car at a truck stop and use their bathroom and showers. And eat at the buffet each day. That would probably work out. And they have video rentals, so just get a lap top or a portable DVD player and you have your entertainment. I think it could work.

Welcome back!

Welcome home!

Congrats again and WELCOME BACK!

I think Hoop's idea is great! Just get a pair of DS' or PSPs. That's entertainment enough. Add in laptops, and park in an area with free WiFi, you'll do great!

hehe

WELCOME BACK!! We missed you. And we left the beer alone. (If I were you, I wouldn't check the tequila or the salt supply. Just sayin'.)

Mr. Tink!

Hey!!! You're back. All your twinkling and spritish self is back. (At least you're not tinkling, and if you are, at least it's not in a car.)

Congratulations!

You never told me you had a unity candle. Dang, my respect points just dropped by ten for you. It's a good thing I love you.

I'm glad it all went well. It's fun being married. After a while it's more fun to be married than to be single.

Were your towels folded into crude animal shapes or just folded into penises ... penisi ... pinistis?

Welcome back and the cake was great! It didn't go all that well with the tequila and salt, but we are not complaining at all..

SWEEEEEEET!!!!!! I'll save the squeee this time. It's all YOU and HOOP Gal!

I am so glad it all went well (um, I did mention the thing about the cake like six or eight months ago; you weren't taking notes?) Hee-hee.

DH didn't get a bit of his awesome, yummy and beautiful "Aggie" Cake. I had one of my BF Bridesmades (the trustworthy kind with no others in tow) save me a humungo piece and bring it up to the room after the reception.

DH had a hang over on the way to the airport at dark-thirty the next morning. I had a humungo piece of "Italian Creme Cake!" YUMMY! Oh, and champagne and booze on the plane.

DH? Hmmmm. He wadn't feeliin' so good. Poor Guy.

:-DDDDD Pictures!!!! Stories!!!! Pictures!!!! Be sure to throw in some "drunk later in the reception" pics too. Doesn't have to be You or Hoop. But, there's always a few around!

Welcome Home, MRS's!

Welcome back, Mrs. Hoop! I s'pose it does take some getting used to. . . . Sometimes (four & a half years later) I still find myself about to say, Jen C**** as opposed to Jen L**** every now and again. It's becoming rarer even if I did just catch myself this past weekend!

Yeah, go ahead and spill the beans. Just leave out the part about us dancing on top of the bar :-). Oh, and you know who and the dude on the beach. No need to mention that either.

Yeah, it's such a bummer to find out that married life doesn't come with maid service...

I would never ask you that... I only congratulate you one more time, and am glad you guys had a positive and fun wedding and honeymoon.

That is unforgivable however, not leaving you any cake. Where's the 'top layer' you're supposed to save for your 1 year anniversary?

Well hey at least you had a cake, I didn't even have a "wedding" per se. We went to the J.P., at at "The Barbecue Shop" afterwards, and never really had a proper honeymoon either. It's always about saving money. But the end result is still the same.

Best of Luck to you Mr. and Mrs. Tink! lol (how bout that!)

Whoohoo! Welcome back Mrs. Hoop. Even 6 years into the marriage, I'm not used to Mrs. Foo. Whenever Foo calls me that, I tell him "I'm NOT your mother!"

Cake? Now that you mention it...I don't think I got any either!!! In fact, I barely got anything to eat that day. I feel your pain, gf.

Okay...so I want to hear details on the bachelorette partay! I didn't get one of those.

Oh...big big hugs...we're so glad you're back!!!! Congrats you crazy kids!!

yeah cruise withdrawal is a bitch! My wife and I went on one for our honeymoon (It was not our first one, but our first together). It has been 10 years (almost) and we still miss the towels folded into animals that our steward put on our bed nightly. {sigh}

Welcome home, now back to work! :)

I totally get the whole "cruise" mentality...the first day we got on board (also our honeymoon cruise, btw) I looked down at the carpet in the elevator and laughed - who on earth would need to figure out the DAY OF THE WEEK by looking at the elevator carpet? Well, by Tuesday, I was looking. Seriously. And, I hear Hoop. A cruise a month - would be good. We actually did that. We got a killer deal on a 3 day cruise almost exactly one month after our honeymoon cruise. It was great. I could cruise a LOT, but we haven't found any great deals since - plus, we left LA for Phoenix, and now there's driving, or air fare *sigh*

As to being Mrs. Hoop - it does take getting used to. But, Mr. Tink will be doing some adjusting, too!

Congratulations to both of you, and I look forward to the pictures!

Sending all my best wishes...
