3rd Annual Golden Spork Awards!
Who needs the Golden Globes when there are shiny sporks to be had?
Feel free to do a little victory dance on your way up to the podium. You deserve it! Most of you could have fit into multiple categories. But I stuck with one each just to be fair... and to avoid unnecessary ego inflation. Haven't I already told you how wonderful you are? I don't want to have to use your award on you. Exploding heads are awfully messy business.

Aww gee thanks Tink (another poor innocent person has fallen for my niceness) I'll be sure to let the next few people I make cry know that I got an award for being nice and sweet, so they should STFU already and let me do my job ;-) I heart Tink. Because she is swarkey (that's my word to post--I'm going to make it into a real word....)
I'd like to thank my MIL for giving me adequate blog fodder when nothing else is going on in my life and there's nothing between me and a blank page but a full bedpan.
I'd like to thank my publicist, (er, I guess that would be my brother, Cam who is my blog king, pooter guru).
But most of all I'd like to thank Tink for reminding me daily of the intrinsic value of the spork and without whom this would not be possible.

Wow! This is such a surprise. Gosh! If I had known I was going win I wouldn't have drank so much wine.
Seriously, who would have thought that I would beat out Heath Ledger for this? Not me.
Anyway, I want to thank the Amish for all their unwavering support. Without all their visits to my blog, keeping my traffic numbers artificially high, I don't think this would have been possible.
I think most of all though, what has really brought me here today to accept my THIRD CONSECUTIVE Golden Spork Award is my modesty and humility. I truly believe the fact that I don't go on and on and on about how great I am, and I don't rub this win in everyone's face, is why I keep winning. Nobody likes a bragger.
What's that? My fly is open? Oh well, that's just another thing I keep winning awards for.
So, in conclusion .. Hey stop with the music, I'll take all the time I want up here! The people love me! Anyway, as I was saying, I'm going to accept this award, not because I deserved it, although I did, but I'm going to accept it for all the little people out there. The people struggling to find the funny on their own blogs. I hope that I can provide you with just a bit of inspiration. Just like I did last year. And the year before.

Thank you ... thank you... I don't think I've ever given anyone "pause" before. I do think I have given my wife a yeast infection a time or two, however. I feel like I should make a political comment in long standing of the Oscars, so I think we will observe a moment of silence for the cold children of Canada. It's unfair they are cold, we should send truckloads of money to them.

*shaking hands and sweaty palms* Oh, I told myself I wouldn't cry, but...you know...here I am! What an amazing moment! Of course, I'd like to thank the Hollywood Foreign Press for their role in this auspicious occasion. My imaginary agent as well as fellow cast members: George Clooney (*starts to hallucinate*), Henry Ian Cusick, and the guy who plays Sawyer on "Lost". (*begins rambling*) Of course, none of this would have happened if Tink didn't have such a pull with the voters in the blog academy. And that time I had an extended and possibly drunken conversation with a small tusked animal which turned out to be Jay's Viking helmet. (hic!) All of it brought me good luck and...sweet jesus...is that some kind of a jacket that ties in the back? Get away from me with that thing! Get away from me this instant, I say, or I'll tell Barack on you the very moment I get back to the White House. I know he misses me........
