Your comments from Wednesday's post were priceless, guys! As much as I love writing, my favorite part of blogging has always been hearing what you have to say. Hoop and I discuss your lives over dinner and drives and most definitely NOT during sex. That would just be creepy. But every time else! I'll pop my head out from the computer room and shout, "Do you know what Cynical Jay just said?" or "Oh no! Knight lost her job too." And he'll know, he'll know exactly who I'm talking about. I'll lean over breakfast and casually tell him, "So Mamatulip was talking about porn and..." He doesn't even bat an eye.
"Mike, the guy with the awesome bike," or "Allison, my friend who's the whiz at Photoshop," are all permanent titles. Hoop knows you. I don't need to give some characterizing detail. But I do anyway. They're household names. Your blogs are like houses on our street. I thank you for that, for always being there when I need you, no matter how crazy your own lives are. Hoop and I are leaving for Tennessee until Wednesday. I hate leaving the blogosphere, even for five days. But I know this thing doesn't run for me alone. So take care of each other. Tuesday's WWC post will be automated. But don't let that keep you from submitting!

We'll miss you but have some fun! And, take a load off your mind for a few days....
Take a short break from blogging and take a few days to reflect. Things will get better and we'll still be here. :)

SuperDad & I went out for our Anniversary dinner last night (Mexican food, yum!) and I was rambling on about fellow bloggers... "Moo's baby is finally coming home from the hospital" and "Did I ever tell you that Tink's grandfather was a porn dealer?" and "Knight lost her job, too."
I love living on your street.

Hey Tink!! So sorry to read about your job. Seems to be happening more and more lately. Though it really stinks, I hope this is just one door closing so another window can open for you! HUGS!!!

PS I totally related to this particular post. I tell my hubby about my blog friends too. Its fun to know that you are connected with some wonderful people in the world, even if you wouldn't recognize them if you passed them in the mall.

Every word you've said is true, Tink. I think of the bloggers I've been reading as real friends. The ones I've actually met are even closer to that mark, but only slightly. I read about your job loss and I'm crestfallen. I wish Florida was closer so I could take you to lunch and brainstorm a way out of it. You and Hoop are real and I hope you find the job you need and want really soon. Love, love love!!

That's a relief. I was afraid ours was the only household where names like "Tink" and "Hoop" regularly crop up in conversation.
