Weekly Words Challenge 55!

The words for this week were Distorted and Clear.

I had to dig into my archives this week. No matter how hard I tried, I couldn't find a muse for these words. Oh well. Sometimes, that's just how it goes. Hopefully you didn't have the same trouble. How did you interpret them?

Distorted

(Originally taken on 12/04/2006 at my parents' house.)

Clear

(Originally taken on 08/07/2007 at Ginnie Springs.)

The words for next week are:
Me
and
Them

If you haven't joined the fun yet, go
here for details. Don't forget, we also have a Flickr group for easy shareability. Plus, you get to find out the new words at least an hour earlier. Happy snapping!

Daily Etsy Pick:
144 Word Beads (For the inner poet.)
Pay-It-Forward Starfish Earrings (The good juju spreads!)
"Exhale" Print
Spool Doll

WTF Etsy?:
Teal Teeth Pendant (and Brooch!)
Little Puppet Red Nose
Weird Ceramic Merbaby
Turkey Salt and Pepper Shakers ("Wow your friends" is right.)

I actually had fun with this one, but I understand what you mean when sometimes the words just don't strike you like you think they will.

Tink, have I said this before? Cause I'm old and forgetful...but I SO look forward to your Etsy links each week!!! Love the words and the starfish and the drawing :-)

Your first pic looks like siamese twins on the right; your second pic looks like a great place for an alligator to hide in wait for picnickers :-)

I love the reflection in the 2nd one. Your shadow pic reminds me of those funhouse-style mirrors. ;)

Love the shadows in the first pic and the second one is just awesome! The colors are amazing!

Love the Etsy links too....I'm addicted to Etsy! :)

"Me and Them" should be easier.

I think I have to open an etsy account if people are buying Teal Teeth Pendants.
Mind you, Weird Ceramic Merbaby sure is ready be hanged on a wall and those turkey shakers are frighteningly realistic.
I wouldn't pay a dollar over 92 bucks for the puppet though.

Love the clear pic.

I found distorted to be pretty difficult to.

Me and Them will be pretty interesting next week!

Love the shadows and the colours in the pool are wonderful!

Love the Spool doll, but those turkey shakers are something else.

Mine are up.

Funny, I almost had to flip those. The shadows are clear and golden. The reflection takes a minute to figure out. Not so clear. Like it though. Mind bending, ouch, hurts.

Great photos. Those turkey salt and pepper shakers are a bit weird and creepy!

Pictures are gorgeous, of course.

Ummmm... well. Those turkey salt & pepper shakers. Well.

I had trouble too, Tink - but I love yours - especially "clear". What a shot! And what an incredible setting.
Mine are up.

Believe it or not guys, those aren't reflections in the second shot. That's the bottom of the spring. The water is so clear, you can literally see all the way down to the bottom. Well, as far as the light can reach anyway. It's a little freaky. BUT, nothing but fish live in them. No gators. It's probably the safest place in Florida to play. :)

PS - naturally, I had to check back to see what all the etsy fuss was about today, because I had forgotten to peruse them earlier.
Dear LORD! Those turkeys - isn't it special that the condiments "pour from the nostrils"? Gag.
And the teal teeth with a CZ as an up and extra? A serious WTF.
The merbaby is merely unpleasant - but that puppet is one of the ugliest things I've ever seen. "Nice fabric", eh? HA! And 93 bucks? Why 93? Why not 90, or 95? And could anyone be seriously stupid enough to pay that kind of money for something that ugly?

Holy Cow!

I've had a challenging time altogether lately, with the last few pairs of words, but I think mainly because I've been so swamped and busy that I haven't had enough creative "Think Time". That makes me sad. I hope everything lifts off my shoulders soon though... I love to goof off and I love to blog.

Anyways, I love your pics, and I think the distorted one is so great, even if you went into archives... Yay Tink!!!!!

Love your photos (tho womaninthewindow has an interesting theory on reversing them...).

Mine are up, such as they are.

Those photos work!! Ginnie Springs? I didn't know there was such a place. I'll have to look it up.

Re. "WTF Etsy": Wow. That red nose puppet is creepy. And when I looked at the turkey S&P shakers, I wasn't sure what I was looking at. They look more like those anatomical models of… something that you'd see at the doctor's office.

I do love Etsy. Do you know about disturbingauctions.com? It literally hasn't been updated in years, but I still go through the slideshow from time to time, because it makes me laugh so hard.

Man I really should get a real flickr account so I can play these challenges.
