You did it again! You got me so addicted to one of your books, I failed to work today. Instead of filling out pointlessmind-numbing necessary price information for my accounts , I was in the back room (hiding) with "The Host." Did I say I loved your "Twilight" series before? Well, that was a joke compared to how much I adored this book. It was by far your best book yet. DAMN YOU. By the way, would you please consider me for a role when this becomes a movie? I would make a great alien.
To my Homebloys, I'm waaaaay behind at work now. Blame Stephanie.
I just read about it on Amazon and I must quote this description "A species of altruistic parasites has peacefully assumed control of the minds and bodies of most humans."
Oh yeah, I think I failed to mention... because of your post about the Twilight books I got book 1 of the series one Friday night. Saturday mid-day I went back for book 2. I was finished with book 3 by Sunday night, and went into a mild state of panic when I couldn't find book 4 till Tuesday. I didn't even know she HAD another book out. Damn you Tink!! ;)
So, thoughts on the Twilight movie that's coming out in November?
So, am I to understand that Tink has been taken over by "A species of altruistic parasites has peacefully assumed control of the minds and bodies of most humans." ??
Also, does this explain the state of the world today?
I'm currently reading the Host...i haven't been able to really get into it yet though unfortunately because of a killer head cold.
Have you looked at her first part of Midnight Sun online?? Its the tale of Twilight from Edward's side. She had the first chapter up, but then someone released all of what she wrote so she put it all up and now doesn't know if she'll finish it. I desperately want to read it...but not that way so i've been resisting....i really hope she does eventually finish it and print it.
Cool, you're coming for New Year's Eve?! ;) Eeexcellent, dude. That is one hangover I would never recover from.
I'm, uh, heading to Barnes and Noble in about 5 minutes. But I was going anyway, I swear it!
I thought Anne Hathaway should be Bella, and Jude Law should be Edward. But I guess they're both a little too old now, huh? Wouldn't they be great though? And Lou Diamond Phillips should be Jacob, but we'd have to do some time warp thing to make him young enough. *snicker*. That's who they were in my head while I was reading though.
had trouble getting into "the host." maybe it was because i was forced to buy a copy for me and a copy for my daughter in order to get into the book signing last spring.
and i'm still pissed about "breaking dawn." pissssssssssssed.
I'm in the process of reading 'The Host' now. When I first started it I didn't think it was that good, and that it wasn't drawing me in the way Twilight had. Next thing I knew I was sucked in. :) I'm trying to make this one last because she has nothing else slated to come out anytime soon!
I'm so not reading any more of her books. I found Edward thing really, really creepy - we really don't need to encourage teenage girls to idolize controlling stalkers...
I almost bought this at B&N this weekend. Instead I bought a leather bound copy of Wicked and Son of a Witch together and then 3 seriously bargain basement hardback books for like a buck something each. Maybe next time.

I see references to this everywhere and yet? I have NO idea what anyone's talking about.
Oh great, gotta go to Costco tonight..............I know they have it.
I started The Host Saturday at around noon...I'm on page 293 LOL!
