I've read the prior books in this series, but have heard that this one is extremely slow. My guess is that you have a different take on it.

Dana Oof, NO. In fact, the second book was the slowest for me. I almost started skipping chapters. This one is great.

Janet: 482!!!

Jay: Have you heard of Harry Potter? That series is really good too. ;)

I just finished reading "The Host" by Stephanie Meyer last weekend! It started out very slow and got a whole lot better.

I've definitely got these books on my list to pick up and devour, but only after my test. Hmpf. Stoopid studying - leaves no time for reading. . . .

Never heard of it, or the author. Should I have?

I'm reading The Memory Keeper's Daughter...finding it kind of slow right now. I hope it picks up.

Sorry I missed out on the contest on Friday!

Why couldn't I have read this post BEFORE I went to the library at lunch? I was just thinking "I need to ask some people what they are reading", cuz I got nothin.

That looks like an interesting series, I'll give it a try. And hey, it's set in WA - cool.

I'll send you my address - and if at any time you feel overwhelmed by the amount of goodie bags - feel free to tell me I'm getting a post instead, that will be fine by me. :)

lovins!

I read the book in less than 24 hours. I *loved* it. I look forward to hearing what you think about it. :)

It seems readers of your blog know this book all too well! I went and got mine midnight Friday/Saturday when it came out, but had to force myself to sleep at about 3:30a, so I finished it by Saturday afternoon. It IS like crack, and good to know someone else is just as addicted as I am!

Another new book. What's up with the internet world? All you reading with it only being 100 degrees outside... Looks intriguing.

I'm still in Eclipse right now. I agree, the second book was slow compared to Twilight. Can't wait to finish this one so I can start Breaking Dawn.

Who has their LaPush Dive Team t-shirt on???

Hey! Sometimes life presents you with tough choices! I don't want to put you out... but on the other hand... I don't want to make you lie about me like you'll have to do...

Couldn't you just post a naked picture of yourself instead? You know... share my award with everyone? :P

hate you hate you hate you. I'm getting this for my anniversary this week (or we might not have more anniversaries since it's the only thing I asked for!)

It better be worth the wait b/c I could have driven to town and bought it myself already!

I'm waiting for the Twilight movie. I'm full of shit- I can't be bothered to watch, let alone read it. However, I've been checking out Twisted Tink (I'm new...) and think you might enjoy Neil Gaiman, specifically Smoke and Mirrors (short stories suited to my attention span- I didn't read it all, and no- I'm not Neil Gaiman in disguise promoting an old book.) You might like his take on Snow White.

Okay, so Fiwa says it is set in WA...that got my attention...but I need a hint as to the genre!

I hadn't heard of it yet. Obviously, my book club is behind the curve.
