Weekly Words Challenge 45!

The words for this week were Temporary and Permanent.

How did you interpret them?

Temporary

(Washed Out Sandcastle)

(Footprints)

Permanent

(Random Pictures)

Sea Turtle Nest

Shells/Sand

Hoop's Seatbelt Solution
The night we got back from Tennessee, the AC on my brand new car broke. Since we're too poor to fix it right now, Hoop has agreed to drive the hotbox on wheels for awhile. The only thing he really minds about my car is the annoying seatbelt alarm that goes off every two minutes if you don't buckle up. I went to get into the passenger side of my car this weekend and saw this. I don't know what I'm going to do with that boy.

The words for next week are:
High
and
Low

If you haven't joined the fun yet, go
here for details. Don't forget, we also have a Flickr group now for easy shareability. Plus, you get to find out the new words at least an hour earlier. Happy snapping!

Daily Etsy Pick:
Pity Party Banner
Jelly Bean Machine
Food Character Lunch Bag

WTF Etsy?:
Don't Look Aunt Pearl In The Eyes
Chopped Baby Box
Custom Doll 4 U (I love the description!)

that beach just looks gorgeous....

That beach looks really inviting right now! I need to move to the beach.

Hoop could solve that problem by just wearing his seat belt. It's like a $50 fine if he gets stopped without one isn't it? ;-)

Excellent as always. I did footprints too. :)

Does Hoop want to eat the steering wheel?

oh, I love your photos this week...I miss the beach!

That Jelly Bean Machine would be cool for the office...hmmm...

And I just sent the link to the Custom Doll 4 U to my boss...her husband's a twit!

Mine's up: http://fondofsnape.com/?p=1805 (and I also have a turtle shot!)

wow, what a sucky comment, anon. way to be. *I* want to spork your face off.

LOVE the sandy feet picture! Love the sentiment behind it, too!

I didn't play, but I have a post up about craptastic neighbors, if anyone wants to sympathize. www.moosmoo.wordpress.com

The pic of shells is awesome - frame it! And I LOVE the feet!
Tell Hoop to wear his seatbelt so you two can have many years of playing footsie. Or I'll have to come down there and yell at him myself.

BTW, the leopard gecko is named "Spots." The former owners called him "Bobo" but SnakeMaster couldn't live with that one.

And yes, mine are up. (But you knew that already!)

ps. Is that a honda civic si? looks JUST like the inside of my car!

I love all the beach photos. Just beautiful.

Mine are up too.

Anon: Although I agree that Hoop should wear his seatbelt, there was probably a more tactful way to put your comment. I'm going to delete it before Hoop reads it. Sorry.

Janet: Mazda3. But you're not the first one that has pointed out the similarities. :)

Kcinnova: Ew, Bobo. What a horrible name! I like Spots much better.

Moo: They may be craptastic. But they sure make great blog fodder.

G-Man: Most of the time he wears it. But sometimes he just feels like being a twerp. I have a sneaking suspicion he left that seatbelt thing for me to find too. ;)

Jay: If you LIVED here you could go to the beach any time you wanted!

you have little tiny feet! how cute ;-)

Tell hoop to knock that shit off and buckle his seatbelt. Now.

Tink, fabulous photos as always. Love the feet and the shells. Tell Hoop to wear his seatbelt, please.

Mine are up (for anyone that hasn't already seen them ;))

I love your take on the words this week - positively inspired. I would like to think that if I still lived by the ocean, I would have thought of it - but in my heart of hearts I doubt it...beautiful pictures - all of them, Tink!
Mine are up, btw
While I don't know what you're going to do with Hoop either - I say marry him ; ) - he's CLEVER! And willing to drive a hot box so that you can have a temperature-controlled environment. Smart AND sweet. He's definitely a keeper...but you already knew that, didn't you??

At 29 July, 2008, Blogger Chatty said...

PS
The chopped baby box is just too weird even to comment on - "conversation piece" indeed - and may I suggest that the conversation be between the artist and her shrink???
But it was the bluebird of happiness that was floating upper right in "Don't Look Aunt Pearl in the Eye" that really captured my attention. You KNOW that bird is going to crap on somebody's head and spoil their day - just in case having Aunt Pearl around wasn't enough...great finds, as usual, Tink!

Loved the feet - definitely poster-fodder!!
Hoop - wear the damned belt! Sheesh!
(isn't there a seatbelt law there?)
Although I can relate to the dinging every two minutes if you don't put the belt on - mine does that, too. I just keep pushing the release button until it gives up in frustration! (I don't wear the belt when I'm driving in the hayfield - it's too uncomfortable because the field is so rough...)
Sorry for the novel-length comment... I'll go back to lurking now.

The footsy photo is just so incredibly sweet, Tink...it belongs on your wall. I love the pebbly beach shots too. All we have here is stupid sand.

I wanna hang out with the odd doll lady b/c of this: He probably will smell better than your old man LOL!

I don't blame him. I assumed you were talking about HIS seatbelt. The car is conspiring against him. He Must Win.

my husband does the same thing with the seat belt! Drives me bozonkers. He's even disabled the buzzer on his truck. I tell him that's NOT how to teach our kids to wear their seat belts!

At 30 July, 2008, Blogger Dianne said...

Hoop! Honey! You have got some hot feet! They are the feet of a strong bold man who WEARS his seat belt.

Just sayin'

Tink - I love the way you presented the footprints and then the feet - so lovely.

You're a really good photographer :)

Despite the fact that I was just at the beach a few weeks ago, I'm jealous.

Pretty shell fragments! Sand starts out sharp and slowly gets softer...

That Sand/Shell picture would make one helluva a jigsaw puzzle.

All the pics were so cute! But, the feet? You have to B&W that one and frame it for your wedding reception!

And, I'd also submit it to Hallmark. Really cute.

[Y'alls sand is really course where you are.]

Happy, Oops this is next Monday already!
