Weekly Words Challenge 83!
The words for this week were Bokeh and Heart.
How did you interpret them?
Bokeh
(Pulled from the archives)
Heart
Bokeh Heart
(Yard Sale)
Hoop and I spent all of last week cleaning out AG's old shed. Then we threw a gigantic yard sale. We still have most of the antiques. A lot of the tools sold, but we have enough to throw another yard sale (or two) in the near future.
Backgammon
Batons
Belt Buckle Tree
Antique Razor and Level
The level is from 1895. The razor is from the 1920's.
Avon Aftershave Bottle
Cast Iron
Yom Kippur War Medal
Old Lanterns
If you haven't joined the fun yet, go here for details. We also have a Flickr group for easy shareability. Not only do you get to add "Lowly Foon" to your resume, but you get to find out the new words at least an hour earlier. Happy snapping!
The words for next week are:
Arch
and
Purple
Tomorrow: I Heart Etsy!

you are, as always, quite a photographer Tink, thanks for sharing this bunch--Bokeh is an interesting technique too, and I have heart pics up myself (PLUS FELIX THE C AT!), just nokeh bokeh
Ooh, I love your first bokeh photo! It is perfect.
Mine are up!!
I like the two heart pictures. Very cool!
Okay, at first I thought that was a razor/level combo tool. I was like "why would anyone need a level and razor at the same time?"
I'm a little slow.
That first pic is awesome, but the bug really creeps me out.
I bet digging through the shed was cool, but all that cast iron must have gotten really heavy as the day went on.
Great shots as always. Your spider bokeh reminds me why I live in the frozen north ;)
The stuff from the shed is very cool, the razor won't be an antique though for another few years - 100 years to make an antique unless it is a car. Those lanterns are wonderful - it is so cool to go through sheds like that and find such neat things.
Digging through that shed must've felt like being on a demented (and heavy) treasure hunt.
Oh I missed playing!! Your shots are amazing I love the bokeh/heart! And the baton shot...that one is probably my favorite! Not only is it a stellar photo, but it brings back memories!
I had to go to my archives (Flickr) for my picks but I gotta play! :)
That is INCREDIBLE spider bokeh!
Mine are up, but...
I haven't had the heart to go out and be creative this week.
the first bokeh photo is awesome. i miss playing backgammon with my dad :(
I will try to get mine up later.
Yours are very nice. That is one weird spider.
Jay- I thought the same thing too. Who needs to make sure their whiskers are level?
Very cool shots of "stuff" Tink. Do you play backgammon?
What the heck kind of spider is that?! Generally, I loathe them but this one is so bizarre, I'm drawn to it. Was this in your yard? *shudder*
Nice antique shots. Also, the backgammon one is excellent.
I had trouble getting the narrow depth of field for our bokeh shot. I want to try some more.
The only reason that spider picture doesn't scare me is because it doesn't even LOOK like a spider! It looks more like a poppet!
All wonderful shots but I really love the angle on that baton photo. Well done.
I love your bokeh and heart shots. But those pictures of all the finds makes me wish we lived closer, I would have loved that sale!
Oh and mine are up, for what they are worth.
that first photo is AMAZING! it's going to give me nightmares for all the rest of my life...but it's amazing.
Really liking the perspective on the batons. And wondering what all that cool stuff is off to the right. I would have loved that sale!
The antique pictures are so cool - such neat old treasures! I love antiques.
You have a fabulous photographic eye.
Crapola, I'm late as usual... but up.
Yours are absolutely adorable!! I love the cool artifacts too.
The very first one is your best Bokeh...
Mine are up, it's only 10:30 pm so I'm not late. :p
I'd literally take hundreds of pics at the yard sale. Looks like there were tons of good stuff to shoot at.
Purple for next week? You might as well kill me now lol.
I haven't been to a yard sale that had this kind of cool stuff in it. Imagine! A belt buckle tree! One might almost think you were in Texas. Neat stuff!
Must have the batons! I twirl a mean baton, ya know. Love the pics.
