A Pudding Diet...

...always sounded fun.

Until I realized that was all I'd be eating after Friday.

I'm having my wisdom teeth extracted tomorrow. So I won't be blogging. Hopefully I'll be back by Monday. I never thought I'd see the day where I'd RATHER be working. I'm looking forward to this about as much as a hole in the head... Or two if you want to get technical. Wish me luck! I'll miss you guys.

January Hit Statistics:
1. The primary day for hits was Wednesday.
2. The most popular hour being 4pm.
3. The top referrers were Jay and Sunshine.
4. The most used search term was, "joystick joyride."
5. My favorite search term was, "The older I get, the more I realize love sucks."
6. The highest hit post (220) was on January 17th, the day I posted about my ring dream.

31 Quirks for 31 Days:
1. I remember a lot of things I shouldn't.
2. Like the 1988 presidential campaign. I was five.
3. I remember arguing with a little boy from my KinderCare about who was going to win. We'd been pretty sweet on each other until I realized his Dad was a Republican. My Mom was a Democrat.
4. Neither of us knew what those words meant. But we knew it made us different. "Bush is gonna beat Doo-doo-cock-see's butt!" He yelled.
5. I remember yelling back "Nu uh!" before I bonked him in the face with my fist.
6. The fight was short lived though.
7. One, because there were teachers everywhere.
8. Two, because my eyepatch made it hard for me to see what I was hitting.
9. I don't like Tootsie Rolls.
10. Then again, I'm not really sure what they are.
11. I used to pretend they were Pound Puppy turds.
12. The expression, "My life flashed before my eyes" always confused me.
13. That close to death, wouldn't you be thinking of the life you hadn't lived yet?
14. My car hasn't been cleaned in over eight months.
15. I'm starting to think the dirt is what's holding it together.
16. Whenever Hoop pisses me off in the morning I think of ways to get back at him.
17. Like, "Maybe I'll just quit shaving."
18. I always imagined speed dating would be a great way to practice pick-up lines.
19. Although I'll admit, I've never heard of one that worked.
20. A guy slid up to me one night at a bar and said, "You're almost as beautiful as my car."
21. I was too scared to ask. Especially since the nicest car in the lot was a Honda.
22. I think I'd make a good relationship consultant. Like a professional wingman! My motto could be, "I'll rate it before you date it!"
23. I hate being rushed...
24. ...unless I'm the one that's rushing.
25. If you say "rushing" enough, it stops making sense.
26. I hate people who repeat words. "Yup yup." "Right right" "No, no."
27. As if saying it more than once will make it mean more.
28. I admire the "Emo" crowd.
29. Unlike most people, they wear their emotions on the outside.
30. I'm allergic to a lot of make-ups. So I've thought about carrying around a sign that says what kind of mood I'm in instead...
31. ...but I don't think many people would care.
32. I secretly love chick flicks.
33. I fantasize about writing one of every kind of book one day.
34. Because I've never heard of anyone doing it.
35. I'm a sucker for challenges.

That photo is more than a little scary :)

Good luck with the wisdom teeth op - I had it a long time ago and soup and baby food is the way to go.

After having entirely too much dental surgery.. my vote is on mashed potatos & gravy. You'll need comfort food after all that. Good luck.

Good luck with the wisdom teeth. Hope you don't come out of the experience stupid. LOL LOVE the cattail pond pic!

I had four wisdom teeth out at once... you'll be fine!

You will get sick of puddingy stuff though - mashed potato is really good - mashed pumpkin is good too as a change.

Also, udon noodles are nice and soft and squishy!

Good luck with the teeth! It was not bad when I had my 4 out. Just remember you will heal faster if you have a lot of protein, so drink ensure(yes the stuff for old people :-P) and eat lots of mashed beans (dark red kidney beans are my favorite).

BTW, you'll also get some great pain meds. Enjoy!

And, I was an eye patch girl, too :-)

You're so adorable, I want to adopt you.

But if you really are demonic, and turn out like Damien, I'll be pissed.

And, oh yeah, YIPPEE for me, top referrer!
Who is this Jay person???? I must defeat him.

Hope the wisdom teeth come out easy and they give you really good drugs.

You're definitely more beautiful than my car.

Have a great weekend.

Good luck with the teeth. Get some cold pack things and keep them in the freezer for when you get home, to reduce or eliminate swelling.

That look in your eye IS scary. What could be in that cake?

I think you look beautiful (and like you're sacrificing the cake... isn't that what you're supposed to do with them?)

About the challenge of writing every kind of book... Isaac Asimov came close. He holds some kind of record for writing a book that qualifies for just about every major dewy-decimal classification. Plus he wrote fiction (duh)! Check him out. Maybe you can beat his record?

Re: the teeth coming out. I had mine out years ago and you'd think I was going to hell and back for a few days they way people talked about their experiences. Really, here's the scoop: NO BIG DEAL. Yes, your face will swell. Yes, your mouth will be sore. But, all in all, it was NO BIG DEAL. Good luck!

I had mine taken out like 5 years ago. It wasn't too bad, 3 of them were out already, the doc only had to dig the last one.

When it was all done the doc gave me water for rinsing my mouth. The best was when I couldn't close my mouth, the water just dripped out onto my shirt.

Nice pics!

I started college that year!!

You young whippersnappers!!

Good luck with the teeth...or lack thereof.

Like peevish, I had all four of my wisdom teeth out at the same time. Two of them had to be "dug out" (the dental surgeon's exact words, incidentally). This was just a few days before the start of my sophomore year of college (1980), which meant that I was hauling all my stuff to the 20th floor of the dorm at just that time when I wasn't supposed to be lifting heavy items like orange crates full of vinyl record albums.

My point is this: Take your antibiotics, lie around on the sofa for the first couple days (do not faint while trying to go up the stairs to the bathroom... not that I'd know anything about that), and keep the sockets swished out with mouthwash (if that's still recommended).

Basically, I didn't have any problems, and that's even with my stupid decision to go out to eat pizza and (illegally) drink beer with my friends the first day back on campus. You'll be a little sore and throbby, but it's not nearly as bad as a lot of people make out. For me, the worst part was getting the stitches out, and that's just because one of the knots had healed into my gum.

Eye patch?

Pound Puppy turds? Man...I haven't thought about Pound Puppies in a long time. And I haven't had Tootsie Rolls in an even longer time. Mmmm...chewy brown goodness...

You are SO CUTE, Tink. You don't look demonic at all. You look happy. :)

I hope the surgery is over and that you are konked out on good drugs right now.

Also wanted to check in and make sure you guys are okay after the tornadoes.

I just saw the headlines, and since I'm not sure exactly where you are, my first thought was "Oh man, I hope Tink and Hoop are OK!!" And - I hope your surgery went fine too...

My WV is fadezsoe...how appropriate! I hope you're fading out with some good drugs, and feeling no pain.

don't let anyone tell you about how bad getting wisdom teeth taken out is. it's not that bad. not comfortable, but not too bad.

my biggest memory of being five was

1.) being wonder woman for halloween

2.) two girls showing me their privates during nap time in kindergarten

Alternatives to pudding:
When you get tired of pudding switch to a shakes. Or jello. Or ice cream. Ummmm ice cream.

Good luck darling! The teeth will go fine. And after that you soon own a home. You have too much to look forward to to worry about a little chipmunk cheek action.

Fabulous and beautiful pictures by the way. Loved the willow and the cattail. It's been a while since I've seen green :-)

Had my wisdom teeth pulled out when I was in highschool....worst experience of my life so far. Ya, I didn't think you wanted to hear that! :) I'm sure you'll come out of it better than I did. My bad luck came when I got the flu while I was recovering from my teeth surgery. It was terrible.

You don't demonic....you just look like you are enjoying that cake! Yum!

I had a hard time agreeing to let them have my wisdom teeth. (and I only grew two) So I was about ten years older than you are now when they went. I had great pain meds so it wasn't too bad.

Hopefully you'll be one of the ones that has an easy time of it.

Tink, hope the surgery went well and you're back to munchin' cake soon.

You'll be fine - It will suck, but hopefully, they'll give you enough Valium that you wont A care or B remember (that's what happened to me!) Better living through chemistry!!

Make the Jello now - It'll be ready tomorrow when you need it.

That is a cute picture!! You are having your cake and eating it too and there is nothing wrong with that.

I refuse to tell you my horror story about having my wisdom teeth out.

I hope it goes easy on you.

Fingers crossed hoping that you don't get a dry socket and everything goes your way. Pudding, yogurt, ice cream. Broth. Chicken noodle soup...sort of.

I remember the 1988 presidential campaign with similarly weird clarity. I was 10, and during recess a bunch of my classmates went out and commandeered the jungle gym, climbing all over it and chanting, "Ducacus! Ducacus! Ducacus!" even though I don't think any of us really knew who he was.

You're a blogging queen! This is great stuff, top to bottom.

Good luck with the teeth. Hopefully, all will go well, they'll slide right out, and you can have some yummy pudding.

Hope you are doing well. All I remember about having my wisdom teeth pulled was counting ten little indians as I passed over into lala land.

Your pictures look warm and sunny - it was 4 degrees here last time I checked...without the windchill!

I hope that you are feeling well today. I had my wisdom teeth pulled 12/31/64. I remember the day because Daddy D and I had a date. I did not want to miss our first New Year's Eve even after the 4 tooth-extraction 3 of which had to be cut from underneath the gum. Of course, I was on drugs. Anyway, I hope that you are having a rapid recovery.

Your pictures are beautiful; the willow tree is great.

Hope everything went well with the wisdom teeth. It just sucks, but it'll get better.

And that cake looks like it's worth a demonic sacrifice. You? You look beautiful.
