All Fun And No Work
Hoop and I decided to pick the bananas...
But then we couldn't figure out what to DO with them.
So there are bananas in my laundry room now. It's like a Ghetto Ripening Center.
Is it obvious we have no idea what we're doing?
Heaven On Earth
Devil's Eye
Tube Trail
Spring Water
Baby Possum
Talk To The Tail
Shoe Fetish
Sticker Heads
Fridge Update: The neighbor stopped by on Thursday, but left before Hoop could make it outside. He hasn't been back since. We plugged Christine in that night. Unsurprisingly, she doesn't work. The back looks like it's been torn into. We think he might have pulled out the parts he needed and was hoping he could run a scam and get his money back. Yeah, I don't think so. So it looks like Christine is getting a new home... at the landfill. Hopefully she'll stay there this time.
So, what did I miss?

we can't grow bananas here... I wish we could... we eat a lot of them...
Who would have thought that a baby possum could be cute?
neat post; what the hey is in that water? its pretty but scary looking as well.
Did you go to Juniper Springs???
Love the bananas! They're from your own trees, right?
So you need to tell me how long fresh bananas really last. The ones we buy here at the grocery are good for about eight minutes...

Those pictures are great -- the Devil's Eye is awesome; I stared at it for a while.
I love the bananas. How cool would it be to be able to throw a load in and then reach over and grab a fresh banana?
I've been to Crystal River and swam with manatees. Is that near there?
David: We had no idea we could grow bananas here either. Until one day, as we were discussing chopping down the trees, we noticed a small bunch of green "fingers." :)
Meno: Right? What happens?!
Terri: It's a spring! It's a little unnerving the first time you swim or snorkel over it. But once you're used it, it's fantastic. You can actually feel the water pushing out.
Peggy: The spring(s) in the pictures is Ginnie Springs. Yup, from our own trees. Which tickles me to no end.
Cat Herder: I'll let you know. Hoop keeps asking, "Are they ripe yet?" every half an hour. I think these will turn yellow in about two to three weeks. Faster if I put them in a bag with a cut apple.
Mama T: If I don't squish them first. I reached in to grab a load and clocked my head on the nearest bunch. Fortunately they're still hard.
Mamalujo: I don't know. This spring(s) is near Blue Springs and Poe Springs. I think Crystal springs is further south.
I am loving the devil's eye...its beautiful. And ohmygosh cuteness in that baby possum!!
I've got a killer banana bread recipe for you once your banana's ripen that is (although my mom prefers to eat them green ewww)
Awesome pics! Normally when I see an animal like a Possum my trigger finger starts to itch, but that guy's cute.
Get one over ripe banana from the store. Put it next to the green ones - in a paper bag works best. In about a day the green ones will be ripe.
Hi! I am sort of back.
Ghetto fruit, ghetto neighbors, appliances on your porch, pics of possums, I don't know Tink but it sounds like you might be on the verge of a visit to the Jerry Springer show.
That is such an adorable picture of Hoop! I am so happy that you have such a great person to love you! Always keep that "fun" in your lives!
Aw, those baby possum pictures NEED to be submitted to Cute Overload!
it would be awesome if you opened the bananas and a whole nest of spiders came crawlling out
I love that picture of devil's eye. Was the spring cold or hot? I just want to jump in.
I hope your bananas are good- we had banana trees when I was a kid and I remember them being really sweet. The bananas were sort of pink.
Geenalyn: Ooo, banana bread. Hoop will love you forever.
Captain Corky: You and Hoop both. He was mad that I let it go.
Odd Mix: OM! My jack-of-all-trades. I'm so glad to see you.
Maggie: You forgot the fact that Hoop is wearing camouflage shorts. ;)
Chelle: Yeah, I think I'll keep him. Hehe.
Chris: He wasn't so cute when he was hissing and biting at me. I wish I would have gotten a picture of that. But I was too busy running away.
Pamer: Omg. Shut. Up. We lock the dogs in there while we're at work!
Fiwa: The spring was about 72 degrees F. Which is really cold when it's over 100 degrees outside. Lil Bit's lips turned blue!
I've never seen a baby possum up close like that. Around these parts he'd be likely to end up on somebody's grill. ewwwww!
Love the pic of the dog with the shoe fetish. That's sooo cute.
Very cool pictures! We get bananas to grow up here in Minnesota too! Yep, honest. Ok, so it's in our conservatory. But they still grow up here !
So many comments about Hoop and his banana ... so little time. Does he not like mangoes?

Just goes to show that ANYTHING when in it's "Baby" form, is CUTE!!!!
Although I kept hearing Avril Lavigne talking when I looked at it.

Blogger ate my comment. I'm not happy with you, Blogger!
Very pretty water pictures. I want to go swimming now.
Great title, I wish that for all of us. All Fun and No Work is what I wish for all of us (at least occasionally.) Your bananas are wonderful. You and Hoop are banana farmers, or maybe you are banana plantation owners. Yeah, that's it plantation owners.
Dude, Hoop looks totally "normal" holding two fistfuls of bananas. I'm not sure why, but that kind of disturbs me. LOL!
You have GREAT looking bananas.
Wait. Does that sound weird?
Mmm banana split....
I love the baby possum photo :)
The "shoe fetish" picture looks like something you'd see at our house.
Hey Mr.Tally Man, Tally me bananas, daylight come and me want to go home....
I was looking for you on Flickr. Will you add me as a contact?
Thanks!
Melanie (Holy Schmidt!)
Aren't they all going to ripen at once now? That's a LOT of banana nut muffins to make!
