I started this blog well over a year ago. But it wasn't until Tuesday that I hit the 365 post mark. A post for each day of the year! For two months I've been anticipating the day I could say that. Yes, I'm really THAT much of a nerd. Then I looked at the post counter this morning and realized... I'm two days late! At first I considered going back and erasing two of my earlier posts to make it an even 365. But that seemed a little

BTW Hoop - I too wish I could be a kid once more. Being big and grown has its downfalls and has an even bigger reality check. I'd love to only worry about who would win at kickball, when's the next kick-the-can game, where to walk the dog, my next soccer game/practice, and beg ( super beg) for a cat. Kid worries.

Not only did you meet a lot of wonderful people through your blog, you also met a lot of total whack jobs like Captain Corky and Lefty.
"Mediokra" is also good. (Didn't Mediokra and Godzilla have a huge fight once?)

HA I hate okra but I love the sound of a blog titled Meaty Okra. Remember this: Meat is Love - as read in the window of a butcher shop.

So much to say...
1) Congratulations on a year of posts, Tink! And don't worry--it's better to be two days late with BLOGGING than with, um, something else.
2) Pickled Beef and Meaty Okra sound GREAT.
3) I have to admit that I sympathize with the stranger concerned about the icing-to-cake ratio. My friend C.S. has made a science out of consuming Denny's Hot Fudge Cake Sundae in such a way that each bite gets the right amount of ice cream and the right amount of cake, and I applaud her efforts.
Meaty Okra! That's awesome! Hoop is a genius!!

This is my second attempt to "comment." I went to do it the first time, then forgot what I was going to say. I had to read your blog again to remind me. The funny thing is I was going to write about "Alzhiemers."
This is in response to Hoop's question about "killing yourself."
My grandmother has Alzheimer's and before she was put in a nursing home, my grandpa took care of her as long as he could do so. We watched how much he loved her and was patient with her.
One day, my sister was kidding and told Wes, her husband, that if she got Alzhiemer's, she hoped she died before it got that bad. Wes, being the loving husband, said, "I hope so too!"
Ha ha! I guess he would not kill himself either. Where's the love? :)
Meaty Okra is an AWESOME name for a blog!

Being named after meat (or meat substitute) myself, I sign off on Hoop's name change.
Of course, if the two of you were to merge into one super blogger, Spam is probably as close as one gets to "pickled" "meat".
I like Mediokra although Meaty Okra is neat too. It's a toss up!
